Chores: keep it clean

I don’t know about you, but I have a really hard time keeping up with the chores there are to do around my house.

I have finally devised a plan that works for me, and maybe it will work for you too.

I made myself a chore chart.

Simple as that.

Each day has a specific room that I can “deep clean”.

For example:

Monday: Kitchen

Tuesday: Bathrooms

Wednesday: Living room

Thursday: Bedrooms

Friday: Kitchen again

Saturday is just a quick tidy of all rooms and

Sunday is a day of rest so I try not to clean unless absolutely necessary.

In addition to each room, I have other things that are necessary to do almost daily and those include:

Laundry

Dishes

Sweeping

Wiping down kitchen counters

and general tidying up other things such as toys, papers, shoes, and coats.

This chore chart keeps things organized in a way that keeps me from getting overwhelmed.

Nothing makes Monday harder than waking up in the morning and feeling completely and totally overwhelmed at the huge amount of chores that lay ahead of you.  Knowing that I have a plan and that it will only be necessary to ”deep clean” one room each day makes it just that much easier to get it done.

How do you make doing chores easier at your house?

Do you find yourself so overwhelmed at times you throw up your hands in defeat and not get anything done?
